I know many of you have wondered where Centurian Richard of Durnford has been lately. Two years ago after a run for Cerebral Palsy, where he was the only one in a wheelchair, he was approached by Rise Adventures about participating in their activities. It didn't take long before he was doing almost everything they offered. He is now on the board of directors and having a blast.

Their website is:

http://riseadventures.org/

They also have a myspace page:

http://www.myspace.com/riseadventures

Their mission is to help persons with physical challenges gain independence through a learning experience in adaptive outdoor adventures and sporting programs.

This is a wonderful nonprofit organization with very caring members. A list some of their activities: Airplane rides, camping, fishing, handcycling, hunting, kayaking, quad rugby, sailing, water skiiing. All of the activities are FREE.

I would like to encourage anyone interested in participating, volunteering, or to donate to contact Richard.
