[Steppes] garb patterns

I was looking to possibly make some suitable garb that was not so renfairish as most of my garb wardrobe is geared to wear at a ren faire with a big hoop skirt.  If anyone knows of some patterns that are not too intricate to make, could you please let me know because I would hate to soil some of my garb that cannot be washed very easily.
