[Steppes] King Ludwig of Bavaria

Ludwig II (1845 - 1886) was the "Mad" King of Bavaria from 1864 until his
death.

 

He was called the Swan King; obsessed with living life as a fairy tale -
untouched by reality.  He built incredible castles of gold and silver in the
beautiful Alps ornamented with scenes of virtue, might and magic. 

 

Why was he mad?  No matter how hard he tried, he would end up each day
staring at yet another dirty shirt that had to be washed.  Hence the saying,
"into every reign a little life must fall."
