I'm sure this will greatly disappoint many of you but the baronial candidate interviews with the Crown will be in the year 2010 NOT 1010. Besides, depending on your persona, some if you might not have been born yet.

Baronial Polling Information

The newsletter contains a note from our Baroness about stepping down and also a submission about the polling timeline from our Regional Seneschal, Countess Maggie.

Some dates to keep in mind (this is not the entire timeline so please look at the details on the web or in the newsletter):

If you want to be Steppes Baron or Baroness, Sunday November 22, 2009 at midnight is the deadline for your letters of intent to be sent to the Crown and Heirs (though I think they will have to be shared with the Heirs in January). These letters will be available on the website for anyone to see and read at the first of December. Last time this happened, the candidates also posted the text of their letters to the Steppes list.

The final polling form with names will be posted on the website on 12/7/09 and in the December newsletter. The letters will also be available to the populace via the website and the December Newsletter. 

The polling will be on January 21, 2010  at January populace. This will be on a Thursday NOT Friday night so please make note of that. I should have a location for this soon and will announce here on the list, on the website, and in the December newsletter. We have moved it to Thursday, because the candidate's interviews will be with the Crown and Heirs that Saturday at King's Round Table January 23, 1010. Just in case the event is a drive from Dallas, we wanted to make sure they were all free to travel on Friday night.

The announcement of the names of our new Baron/Baroness will be at Kingdom A&S on February 13, 2010.

The investiture will be held in Saturday morning court at Warlord.

Events
Eisteddfod will not be coming to Twelfth Night, but will be at Stargate Yule this year. However, we were awarded the bid for Kingdom A&S. This is great since the announcement of our new Baron and/or Baroness will be made there.

The autocrat for this event is Mistress Genevieve. It will be out at the Fisheries site in Athens TX. I'm excited about being able to support/host this wonderful Kingdom event. Mistress G will be needing all sorts of help and volunteers. Look for more information on this in the near future.
