[Steppes] Service projects: Cookies

A reminder that Girl Scout cookie sales start today! The ordering
period ends Jan 24th. Payment not due until cookie delivery.

The GSNETX  Council (Dallas and surrounding) area also sponsors a 
service project called Project Troop to Troop, where the girl scout troops
can send cookies to military personnel at home and abroad.

You can help!  If you donate cookies to military personnel our troop collects the money
and orders the cookies on line from the bakery. 

Cookies ordered in this way are transported to Fort Hood, 
the USO, the American Red Cross, local Veterans organizations and wounded soldiers.
Last year this project generated almost 127,000 packages of cookies
for military service men and women.  All cookie varieties are sent.  

I have personally talked with soldiers who received cookies while
stationed in Iraq and I know the lady who started this program.  Email
