[Steppes] {FIGHTERS} Pollaxe question

After constructing my sword, I'm left with a stick of rattan that
measures about 65".  I was thinking it might make a good pollaxe if
fitted with a thrusting tip and one of these rubber axe heads from
Mandrake: http://tinyurl.com/2vjmdzj.  A bit pricy, perhaps, but it
seemed a good use for the stick...about the right length given the
pictures I've seen.  Any thoughts?
