Don't forget to bring your old children's garb for
the children's garb box at Populace in the Park!
Bring something and take something home! Or, if
you just have items to get rid of and don't have anyone
to pass them to, just donate items. I am also taking
shoes/boots of a period nature if they are in good
condition. And hats. And anything remotely period
for children as long as it is clean and does not need
extensive repair (a few loose beads or something is
OK). Look for the Viking Box (the first one that Lady
Stephanie Lilburn ever made).

We are doing the drop spindle class (Esther Reese is
doing it, at any rate). Duncan de Bard is working on making the drop
spindles and I think he will actually get them done
despite being on call through this morning and the fact that the
three electrical outlets in the garage are suddenly not working. I am not
positive when we are doing the class because I
wanted the youth chivalric fighting to be over, but
we will see. I am thinking that we should start it about
3:30, and then if there are youth fighters who want to try it (such as my
girls), they could join in informally once they are ready.

If you think you or your child would like to take the
class please let me know if possible. We should have
10-14 spindles available or you can bring your own. I
believe they will be available to take home for a small
donation if you wish. We are experimenting with gluing
washers to them to make them heavier but still keep
them inexpensive.
