[Steppes] Pavilion poles and list poles...by Warlord!

P.S.-- This was cross-posted from the Steppes Facebook page. When
someone there asked how they could get involved, I posted the
following:

----------
There are multiple steps that need to take place, so there will
probably be several opportunities to help! There are several immediate
needs. I'm actually OK at the moment on the pavilion *perimeter* pole
front. I'll be going to Roanoke tomorrow during the day to cut the
metal tubing for the reinforcement caps and, if that goes quickly,
I'll get set up and get started on shaping the ends of the poles to
accept them. It's during the day and it's in Roanoke, so unless
someone's dying to help there, I should be OK.

Instead, perhaps someone could get with His Excellency, our seneschal,
or Sir Domingo and see if there's any way one could help get the water
sealer (and/or stain...I recommend something fairly subtle, like a
light oak stain) and any other required supplies like brushes, drop
cloths, etc. It's important that supplies be bought for both the
pavilion's 44 seven-foot perimeter poles and 2 fourteen-foot center
poles AND the 26 list poles so that we will be able to do them all at
once. It would be great if this could all be arranged so that the only
thing keeping us from immediately starting on staining/sealing is
waiting on me to get the wooden bits squared away. A week or two of
delay in between could make us miss our deadline of Warlord. So,
helping to organize, rattle cages, go shopping, whatever, is as
important as being there when it's time to wield a wrench or a brush.

I *will* need help in Roanoke on the woodworking front as well, but I
don't have a firm date in mind yet. I haven't bought the lumber for
the list poles yet, so when I've got that I'll schedule something.
There will be a significant amount of assembly there, so I'll alert
this list when I'm ready for help.

Thanks for your interest!
