[Steppes] An announcement from the Baron and Baroness

[Baron of the Steppes]

To the populace of the Barony of the Steppes and her Cantons of Glaslyn and
Kynge's Creke come greetings and thanks from Baron Duncan and Baroness
Genevieve.

Being the Baron and Baroness is an amazing experience. So many people have
worked so hard to make our jobs easy while letting people think we do the
hard work. We really appreciate the efforts and support of our populace.

Being a landed noble is a job filled with making decisions: some easy and
some hard. One of the hardest decisions that a Baron and Baroness have to
make is choosing when is best for them and for their group to step aside
and let others take on the mantle of leadership.

Last night, at Steppes Artisan, We announced that we feel it is best that
we make this decision too early than too late. Therefore, we will be
stepping down from the Oaken thrones at Steppes 12th Night in January.

We have informed the Crown, their Heirs, and the Seneschallate, and we will
be working with them to establish a timeline of candidacy, polling,
interviews, and selection, for a seamless transition.

Thank you all for your support these past three plus years. It has been our
honor to serve the Barony.
