[Steppes] Combined Steppes and Elfsea Populace in the Park - August 30th

Greetings, Steppes and Elfsea!

It's time again for us to gather together and enjoy the Combined Steppes
and Elfsea Populace in the Park!

Our mini-event will be held on Sunday, August 30at 12:00pm

W. J. Thomas Splash Park
1955 N. Perry Road
Carrollton, TX 75006

To beat the summer heat, we will be meeting at a splash park! If possible,
please bring personal pavilions to ensure shaded areas. Please note that
the site is dry and that glass containers are not allowed.


10:00am - Setup Pavilions and Potluck tables

11:00am - Newcomer Mini-Class on Court Etiquette, with Newcomer Raffle.
Fighter's practice begins and continues at will throughout the day.

11:30am - Mini Opening Court

12:00pm - Potluck Lunch, with assignments by last name:

A-G: Meats, Cheeses, or Main Dishes
H-M: Fruits, Veggies, Sides or Salads
N-R: Breads and Crackers
S-Z: Dessert or Drinks (site is dry)

The Barony of the Steppes will be providing some of the meat, as
coordinated by Sir Domingo.

1:00pm - Youth Water Balloon War, coordinated by Renee Warren. Please
ensure your youngsters are dressed for the occasion! Three winners (there
will be prize baskets!) will be chosen based on how much debris they
collect after the balloons are all gone.

2:00pm - Melee Fighting by the Dice: The roll of the dice will determine
how many fighters involved in each bout (1-3 vs. 1-3).

3:00pm - Rapier Tournament

4:00pm - Closing Court to award 3 children's prize baskets for cleanup, 1
newcomer raffle basket, and 2 fighter's tabards for the day's fights

5:00pm - Cleanup

6:00pm - Return pavilions and tables to the storage unit
