[Tempio] The use of Tempio mailing list....

Tressa here,

I would just like some clarification on this the word
"Official"  I am completely aware that the mailing
list is not an "official" means of relaying
information.
However, "unofficially" I CAN remind people of the
time and place of populace.  I CAN answer questions
about Tempio related topics. I CAN post information as
relating to fighter practices.
The mailing list is supposed to be a efficient way of
getting a hold of people.  As an example, I for one do
not have the time to sit down and call everyone in the
shire to remind them about fighter practice.  As long
as I am being "unoffically" myself, I can
"unoffically" share information with my friends in a
convenient way.
I can understand the SPAM situation and the political
view thing as well.  But if I'm not mistaken, wasn't
the mailing list was created to use as a tool for
communicating SCA related material? 
I read quite a few of the ansteorra mailing lists, and
unless nearly everyone in the kingdom is doing
something wrong, I see much sharing of times, places,
and directions for meetings, guilds and populaces.  I
even see minutes of Populaces being posted.  Yes, and
it's done "unofficially".
Maybe I'm wrong completely and I didn't want this to
sound a tirade, but I'm confused.....
