To  the populace of the Shire of Tempio, I, Lady Liadain inghean Brignagh do give good wishes for your continued health and greetings of fond regard.  It is with deepest misgivings and sorrow that I watch the continuing confusion, bitterness and seeming  lack of cohesion in the Shire continue to pull a once nurturing and family oriented atmosphere into the darkness of chaos.  

I cannot imagine what purpose such contradicting statements serve you Karen or what agenda you are working towards. Perhaps in all the confusion of the many ideas and concerns of the officer's meetings your misgivings and suggestions were misunderstood. Having heard several versions of that meeting now though , I must say that I have gotten the same read from everyone on your conflicting and seemingly mercurial side-taking. Not having been there, I can only give benefit of the doubt and hope that this has all been misunderstanding. This is to my mind, the last chance your Shire has to pull itself out of it's tailspin and start anew. To reforge the bonds of friendship and cohesion you will, of necessity have to pull off a good event.  If you risk nothing, you gain nothing. If the Shire cannot be bothered to pitch in to pull of a fairly simple event like a war college, what then is the purpose of the Shire continuing? How will you manage to pull of anything larger and progress to any
 further levels in the SCA. 

It is with deepest regrets that I must withdraw myself from the Shire of Tempio. My husband has withdrawn already and I will not split my family. Lady Renee' has withdrawn to play with Tir Medoin and as her consort in my husband's absence it is my duty to follow and support her in her quest. I will finish my commitment to the Shire of the bed raffle at this upcoming event, but then will participate no more.  I thank the Shire for the many kindnesses and support that have been extended to our family over the time we have played here. I wish you all nothing but the best of luck and happiness in the pursuit of your Dreams.  I bid you all farewell.
