[Western] New guild in the region

Greetings, all gentles of the grand Western Region!

A new guild is forming in Crossrode Keep, and we’re open to any and all 
who have like interests.  Here’s a short description:

Illuminated Threads—A textile and needle art guild based in Crossrode 
Keep (Western Region of the Kingdom of Ansteorra), our purpose being to 
share knowledge and practice of all textile and needle crafts of the 
Middle Ages.  Members are welcome from anywhere in the Known World or 
mundane world.  (Members not involved in the SCA must be able to tolerate 
lots of discussion about things Medieval, both of the modern and 
historical Middle Ages.) 

We’re tentatively planning to meet monthly at First Presbyterian Church 
Fellowship Hall in Big Spring on the last Saturday of each month.  Of 
course, Western Region events take precedence over the guild meetings.  
We’re hoping to have our first gathering in April (the 30th), when we plan to 
start a hand sewing/piecing and quilting class.  Of course, no one has to 
take any of the classes—just bring your own projects and knowledge and 
we’ll all share and learn.

Our plans include an IT Guild mailing list and a website (to be 
announced later).
