[Western] Missive from the Trelac Guard

Obviously an interception. I will be sorely put out if anything has happened
to my aide who was carrying the missive. I'm beginning to suspect this Ld
Logan may be involved. It is certainly suspicious that there are so many
dead so-called "tax collectors" showing up on HIS land. As one of our
Guardsmen has gone missing, I will certainly be looking in Logan's direction
first for answers. As you know, I sent Lord Gabriel to ask some questions of
the locals regarding the identities of these nefarious criminals, so that we
might apprehend them. He has yet to report in and is overdue by three days.

Muirghein, Captain

Dear Captain, apparently your communications with our Baron are not secure.
Your missive seems to have been intercepted by a Ld Logan. At this point I
am painting my cod piece with the prerequisite bulls eye, but I can't locate
any blue paint. It must have been all used up when we painted the Guard's
banners. Do you have any other suggestions of how we might proceed?

Lady Muirghein, the success of undercover agents is often reliant upon the
belief they don't exist... so announcing this measure may not be in that
individual's best interests... especially when they are a fellow guardsman.
You might as well paint a big ol' bullseye on the poor chap's cod piece and
send him into battle with a smile and some blue paint.

Ld. Logan, the guy who most certainly DID NOT kill all those rax collectors
buried near the road.

Greetings unto Baron Gavin , Seneschal of Trelac, from Lady Muirghein
MacKiernan, Captain of the Civic Guard.

We continue to follow up on the reports of false tax-collectors in our
area. Unfortunately, many are dead upon our arrival, rather than merely
detained, so it is difficult to gather useful information. However, I
believe that we are on the right track. There seems to be information
leading to one particular individual of interest that we are currently
tracking. I am planning to install one of the guardsmen under cover to get
closer to the head of this organization. New reports seem to indicate,
however that Bonwicke may not be entirely to blame for the economic havoc
that has been occurring. As more information arises, I will send word.
