Suppose I entertain the possibility that you are innocent of any wrong doing.  I know that Trelac and the Civic guard are not to blame for any misdeeds,  as I am member of same.  Who, then, do you suppose is behind these atrocities, and what would be their aim to pit 2 of the last two strongholds of the former Western Region against one another?  I watch, wait and withold my judegment.

  Every one keeps calling it a wall, it is just a small humble fence. From the way you guys talk, you would think that even the August Personage of Jade could see the fence from his great hall in heaven. 
  Yes, I am the defender of Trelac and Blacklake, at one time, I was defender of every branch in the former Western Region (with the notable exception of Bonwicke). I have not to my knowledge ever failed in my duties to any of those branches, nor do I now. It would seem more like the branches in the area have forgotten what Bonwicke has done for them over the years. I can not be all that bad, you do not hear Bonwicke complaining, do you?
  The people causing trouble are not mine. I just set out to build a small fence.

Yes, Gerold,  don't be deceived, but who is doing the deceiving?  Baron Chiang was also named the Defender of Trelac and look what that has gotten us.  
 
I now ask: "Where, oh Baron, is your defense of noble Trelac?"  Why do you build walls between friends?  Why to you lie to cover your actions?  With defenders such as you we may need more enemies.  
 
I once thought of you as a friend and defender of all that is honorable and good.   What do you hope to gain by building a wall?  I have not known you as long as some, but I always thought you to be an honorable man.  What has happened since you have become a Baron?  What has happened to the good men and women of Bonwicke?  Have you come under some evil spell?  Are you listening to those who would fill your head with visions of wealth and ambition?  The small shire of Trelac certainly has nothing to gain by promoting hostilities between us.  I beg you to turn from the path of you are taking, and become a Defender and friend of Trelac once more.
