The Baron and Baroness of the Steppes request the honor of your presence at
the 14th annual Steppes Artisan Body of Work Competition. Site opens at 9:00
am and closes at 10:00 pm. Table reservations for A&S displays are not
required, however feast reservations are highly recommended. Baroness Alys
is preparing a sumptuous feast for 200. Please email her with your feast
reservation.
Alcohol is not allowed on the premises but a bar is provided for your
enjoyment. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. They
may also attend with a signed and notarized Minor Event Waiver from the
parents. There are no scheduled children's activities.
Site fee is $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 6 -13. Children 5 and under
are free. Family maximum (immediate family - not households) is $24.00.
Merchants are welcome. There is no merchant fee, but a donation of $5.00 or
an item for the Steppes prize chest is requested.
Feast fee is $4.00 for adults and free for children 10 and under.
1st Course:
Roast beef on rye bread with butter and sweet pickles
Rye bread with shredded carrots, onions and pickled beats
Dark bread
Soup with fish dumplings
2nd Course:
Meat Loaf in sour cream pastry
Onions stuffed with rice and mushrooms
Lemon/Dill Chicken
Red Cabbage
3rd Course:
Baked Apples with an Almond meringue topped with a raspberry puree and heavy
cream
The competition this year will be in Ennis Texas at the Sokol Hall. From
Dallas take I-45 South. Take exit 251 and turn east on HWY 34. Travel about
2 miles. The site is a large white building on the left
