[Ansteorra-announce] Q: What do dead mundane presidents have to do with Stargate Yule?

A:  They'll help you win the Stargate Yule Costume
Contest on December 8th!

This year the Costume Contest is raising funds to help
the Barony of the Stargate acquire new Baronial
thrones.  Come be a part of this effort and show off
your best finery!  Or just come and support the Barony
with your spare change!

Entry in the contest is from 11 am to 3 pm.  Voting
will start as soon as the first entry is displayed so
come vote early and vote often.  Voting will close at
5 pm so the tables may be used for feast.

Here's how it works:  You put on your best clothes.
You come to the costume contest table at Stargate Yule
and have your picture made.  You go on your merry way
and enjoy the other Yule activities.  Your picture
will be displayed for all the populace to view and
vote on.  Special arrangements can be made for those
that are also entering their clothes in the Baronial
A&S competition.

Each entrant will receive a souvenir "portrait" of
them self in their Yule clothes.  Judging is done
solely by popular vote.  The costume that has raised
the most money by the end of the evening will be
declared the winner.  The winners will receive not
only acclaim and admiration but gifts of fine cloth
and other rich sundries.
