Greetings,

I am starting a herbal guild.  The first meeting will be the second monday in June, 6/11/01, at 7:30 pm.  It will be at my house in Richardson.  I will post address and direction at a later date.  The first meeting will be to get aquinted, then I will hand out a survey to find out what people hope to get out of this guild.  I have several handouts about herbal medicine, identification of herbs and some simple herbal recipes.

Because a lot of what I do is medicinal herbology I will not give advice on any herb to replace a Dr.'s recommended medication.  Herbs are a suppliment and should be discussed with your doctor before mixing with medication. Most of my medicinal herbal mixtures are for topical use only.  I do make tonics, teas and tinctures, but again, not to replace a Dr.s recommended medication.

I am really excited about the responses I have recieved and am looking forward to our first meeting as well as many more after.  My dream for the guild is being able to serve the novice to the most experienced in herbology.  I hope to get guest speakers, in herbology, botany and related areas.
