At the July 20, 2002, quarterly Board of Directors meeting it was announced
that the Exchequer-Elect had resigned.

The current Exchequer's warrant expires at the October 2002 Board of Directors
meeting and an interim Exchequer will be warranted for six months to handle
the office as well as train the incoming Exchequer-Elect.

The Board of Directors is accepting applications for the position of the
Society Chancellor of the Exchequer.

The Society Chancellor of the Exchequer reports directly to the Treasurer of
the SCA, Inc.  This office is responsible for administering the activities of
the Kingdom Chancellors of the Exchequer and for collating their reports for
the Society's tax returns and other financial reports.  The "Society
Exchequer" is also responsible for overseeing the financial affairs of the
regional corporate publications of the Society, and the proper review and
implementation of Branch Financial Policy as well as review of Kingdom and
Newsletter accounts.

Experience as an exchequer, and familiarity with SCA financial reporting is
necessary.  The ideal candidate needs to be familiar with accounting on a
regional level.  While a degree in accounting is not required, a solid
background in
accounting, auditing, or taxes is desirable.

The Society Chancellor of the Exchequer is a part-time, paid position, and
requires an average of 40 hours per month.  Occasional travel may be
necessary, but direct expenses will be reimbursed by the corporation.
Telephone and e-mail access is required.  The successful candidate is
scheduled to assume the
office at the April 2003 quarterly meeting of the Board of Directors and will
serve as an unpaid deputy until then.
