[Ansteorra-announce] Bonwicke's Yule Masquerade and Passe de Armes

Greetings unto the Fair and Noble Populace of Ansteorra,

I am cordially inviting you to attend a grand masked ball celebrating
the yuletide season in our fair Barony of Bonwicke (date pending). I
bring you these early tidings during the warm summer months in
anticipation of this auspicious event.

Twill be a day of great revelry and high persona, filled with an
array of delightful activities which you will wish to prepare for
right away. The day's events will include:

* A Masked Ball
     - Contest for the best mask.

* A Crested Passe de Armes Tournament
    - Prizes for the best crest display (crest will not be used during combat).
    - Consort, herald and one man-at-arms required.

* A Decorated Buckler Rapier Tournament
    - Prizes for the best decorated buckler (buckler does not have to
be used during combat).

* An Arts and Sciences Challenge
    - The theme is revelry and celebration.
    - Documentation is required, but display-only pieces are also encouraged.
    - New pieces only please (never entered in any competition previously).

To make ready for this yule celebration I will be holding a
pre-masque college on October the 26th in the Barony of Bonwicke.
There will be four 2 hour classes to help you make preparations for
the upcoming masked ball; they are mask-making, crest making, courtly
graces and period dancing. More information will be forthcoming on
this event.

I hope that all of you can join with us in Bonwicke for this Yule
Masquerade and Passe de Armes.
