Unto all the fair gentles, Greetings

     It is my pleasure to announce and invite one and all to an upcoming demo to be held in the fair lands of the Barony of the Eldern Hills.  The demo is known as International Festival and is held in the city of Lawton, Ok on the 28 of September from 10AM until 5PM and on the 29 of September from about noon until 5PM.  This year we are planning a couple of new things to interest the crowd.
     First we ask that all who wish to participate in the fighting demos to bring a toy (it is our start of Toys for Tots, requested not required).
     Second we plan to have all of the fighters introduce themselves and their accomplishments right after morning court.  A herald may do this job for you and if you cannot be there at the beginning, please send your info ahead of time and we will announce for you.
     Third, after the intros we ask that each of the ladies present pick their champion by presenting them with their favor to tie on their sleeve.  This will add meaning to the phrase "salute the one whose favor you bear this day".  Ladies bring several favors please, because you may pick more than one champion to fight for you.
    We also plan to have a covered pavilion available for the ladies to view the fighting from.  Also the youth rapier community will participate in the fighting demos.  Gives the rest of us a break.  Lastly and the end of each day's fighting, our Vicar and Vi caress will select several individuals to recognize for their efforts during the day.
     This is our biggest draw and International Fest has brought many new participants into this game, myself included.
