Greetings,
Since many of us did not receive out March Black Star due to some
unexplainable error...... (sure), I was asked by the CO-Autocrats of our
upcoming event to post on whatever lists I am on to try and get the word out.
This is our official event and there is a link to the Shire webpage you can
click on at the Kingdom Calendar that is online. Here is the advertisement
that was run in the missing BS. Thank you.
Service beyond all sense!
Lady Bianca Mantegna
Chronicler, Shire of Brad Leah
The Shire of Brad Leah invites you to join us for Festival of Japan, on
April 11-13, 2003.
In 1333, the Emperor Go-Diago; forming an alliance with Ashikaga Takauji,
a powerful warrior leader from eastern Japan, overthrew the Kamakura
shogunate, wresting ruling power from the Shoguns and restoring it to the
emperor. In 1336, Takauji, demanding he be made Shogun and given ruling
power, ousted Go-Diago from the imperial city of Kyôto and was named Shogun
by Prince Kogan. Go-Diago fled to Yoshino; taking the Imperial Regalia with
him and establishing a court in the South; thus beginning a civil war between
the northern and southern courts in Japan that would last for many years to
come.
For whose honor will you fight? Will you aid Go-Diago, the true Emperor;
or, Prince Kogan, the usurper and the traitorous and power-hungry Takauji?
