he wants us to do *what* for four hours???

Greetings Ansteorra!

I’m teaching a class on Friday afternoon at Argent Anniversary entitled
“Acting for Bards.” Should be lots of fun, you should all come.

I've received an e-mail that brought up a good point about how the class
appears on the schedule. Even though the class takes up four hours of *my*
time as an instructor, it will take up only 60-90 minutes of *your* time as
a student.

The class that I’m teaching is broken up into two parts. The first is a
one-hour lecture, geared primarily towards experienced performers, from 1:00
to 1:50. This class will focus on bringing theatrical aspects to the bardic
stage. Anyone is welcome to join in for this class; there is no class limit
for the lecture.

The second part of the class is broken up into six half-hour sessions. Each
of these sessions will have a limit of one student in order to provide
individualized guidance on one piece. Students for this part of the class
will be expected to bring at least two copies of a piece that they have
memorized beforehand. This portion of the class is geared towards polishing
an existing piece for the stage.

I hope to have other bards and actors assist during these practical
sessions, though I certainly wouldn't expect to have your services for the
entire three hours. If you've been involved in theatre outside of the SCA,
I'm especially interested in talking to you; please contact me off-list.

I ask that both students and teachers for the practical sessions please
pre-register *before July 5* (the last day I'll have e-mail access before
AAA). Please provide me with your SCA name, telephone and e-mail, and which
time slot (2:00, 2:30, 3:00, 3:30, 4:00 or 4:30) you're interested in. I'll
bring a sign-up sheet to the class if there are sessions still available;
sign up will be first come, first served.

Honor and glory, health and fortune,
HL Snorri Hallsson
