[Ansteorra-announce] Volunteer Needed - Known World Party Coordinator

Greetings Ansteorra,

Ansteorra is in charge of the Known World Party this year. So, we need an
overall Known World Party Coordinator.  The Known World Party is held on
Friday night at Gulf Wars. The party is paid for by GW.  This job basically
plans a party for 4,000 of his or her closest friends. It will include
arranging for entertainment (games? musicians? performers?), liaison with
the KWP food coordinator, arranging for equipment, set up and take down for
the Known World Party, coordinating with the kingdoms supplying the liquor,
and so forth. You will need to have various committees to be in charge of
separate tasks.



We also need a coordinator for the food. The budget is $1200. (Does not
include alcohol.)  Usually it's $1,000 for the food, and $200 for the
supplies, such as paper plates, napkins, cups, and plastic ware. The food is
usually finger food, sandwiches, and snack stuff, but it can be whatever
kind of food you choose to serve, subject to agreement by the overall KWP
coordinator.



A suggestion has been made that a group such as a Barony or Shire, or
Centurions, Pelicans or Protégées, Apprentices, Knights, Squires or
Centurions, White Scarves or Cadets, or Household step up to the plate (no
pun intended).  I thought this was a Great Idea and an excellent opportunity
for some group to be of service to the Known World and to Ansteorra.
