[Ansteorra-announce] Calling all Scholars and Artisans - Westgate Winter Collegium

To all the Folk of Ansteorra, Greetings:

The Canton of Westgate will hold its annual Winter Collegium on Saturday, January 29.  This is a teaching event, and we have an exciting list of classes, covering subjects such as Brian Boru, the Wars of the Roses, Bess of Hardwick, the Norman Conquest, Dyeong techniques, Enameling, Knitting, Tailoring of Late perior Garments, Ansteorran History, the basics of being a Lady in Waiting, Chirurgeon 101, Waterbearing 101....and more!

At the same time, we will be holdng a competition to decide the next Champion of Westgate.  The format will be single-item, with documentation required.  A letter (or e-mail) of intent is requested from all those who wish to enter, so that we can arrange to have judges with the right expertise on hand.

The day will be rounded off with a small feast, followed by a bardic circle in the hall.  The number of feast reservations will be limited, so we recommend you reserve early.  Unreserved feasts will be sold at the door on a first-come, first-served basis.
