To all planning to attend the Shire of Trelac's event "A Day In Egypt"
this weekend does HL Larkin O'Kane send greetings,

The San Angelo Standard-Times for today Friday, July 15, 2005 reported
that a burn ban is now in place. The following is quoted from an
article by Paul A. Anthony panthony at sastandardtimes.com

"With firefighters still battling blazes in Kimble and Jeff Davis
counties, Tom Green County commissioners enacted a burn ban this week,
prohibiting residents in unincorporated areas from lighting any
uncontrolled fires.
The ban prohibits outdoor burning, except when related to public
health, firefighter training, pipelines, planting or harvesting or when
prescribed by a burn manager. Outdoor grilling also is allowed."

Burn bans are a fact of life in West Texas so we have learned to cope
with them. A couple of logs in a raised outdoor grill makes an
acceptable substitute for a campfire.

YIS,
Larkin
