[Ansteorra-announce] The Fair of the Harvest

Greetings All,
The potential for war looms close with the army of Glenn Abahnn marching 
across the borders. Many a brave Ansteorran travels to defend at the Castle 
of Borderkeep in the Barony of Bordermarch. There's many a war widow, old 
and young, and home guard who are left behind. Let the forlorn and forgotten 
fear not for the good folk of the Canton of Chemin Noir have opened their 
arms wide in hospitality to welcome all refugees. Seek solace and safety in 
the hall among the kind generous people of the most northern of Ansteorran 
outposts. Far from the horns of war the Fair of the Harvest will be held on 
November 21-23 at the Will Rogers Scout Ranch in Cleveland OK.

There will be all manner of activities to keep your mind off the fretful 
hours waiting the return of the war heroes, inspections of the local crafts, 
bardic performances, a hunt has been organized with both spear and bow, with 
a fine feast to follow.

Some outlying farms have reported a roving troop of armed men. Possibly this 
troop is bandits seeking to capitalize on the lessoned defenses in this time 
of conflict. Possibly they are a Glenn Abahnn scouting party seeking a 
northern route into Ansteorra. Any soul who can lift a blade would be 
welcomed to join in the search to end these brigands.

The Fair of the Harvest is one of those very special small events, so laid 
back and so much fun, it captures the atmosphere of the SCA from 20 years 
ago and makes the dream come alive all over again .Won't you join the Canton 
of Chemin Noir and their Barony of Northkeep in the fire warmed hall at the 
Fair of the Harvest to make this years event even more special?
