Speaking of poor examples. Don't you think that is a bit too much of a
generalization? For every negative example of a courtier you provide I
have no doubts I can provide an example of the opposite. The same can
be said of country knights, guildsmen and farmers. In every case
people are people, and politics are politics. There are those that are
exemplary and those that are deplorable and examples of each can
always be cited.
