One of the most-prized notices I have received thus far was a
simple torc-looking bracelet from the hand of William the Bear,
given to me when I competed for Kingdom Bard a few years ago.

It was not just largess, in that this thing was presented with
an explanation and a charge.

I'm still a teller of tales, a singer, a poet, a bard -- and trying
to fulfill the charge William gave me that night.
