On the other hand, this *is* the place for something of this nature.
This is something that the Internet community would know more about than
many other people.

As I understood the issue, a fundraiser would be done. If enough money
was raised, the server would be purchased. If not enough money was
raised, it would be discussed again after ATYC. I clearly stated that
*I* was unwilling to ask the populace for money if we were not committed
to this endeavor.
Btw, if more money is raised it will be used for either on-going
expenses or a better class of system to better serve the Kingdom.

This list is not official communication and does not exist as far as the
SCA is concerned.

I believe it is scheduled for the last weekend of July, but the Black
Star will be the authority on it.
