With all of this discussion of the consorts behavior at the field, it brings
to mind the behavior of the fighter as well.

Over the years I have had several gentles carry my favor on the field, and
have felt honored each and every time. One fighter in particular I would
like to give a bit of wordfame to.

The first time Lord Ingve of York fought for me was at Namron Protectorate.
He is my house-brother, and dear friend and I knew that he would do nothing
to dishonor me. I did not, however expect the level of curtsey and attention
that he paid me that day. When salutes were called for he would approach me
and pledge to fight with honor. Then after the bout he would come to me and
explain the fight, point out his opponents strengths and ask for assurance
that I was satisfied. He went on to win the list that day, but I would not
have been any less proud of him had he not.

Ingve is indeed a man of honor, and a worthy gentle to carry any lady's
favor.
