[Ansteorra] Fighting Crown "not to win"

Question:  Fighting "not to win" at crown....

I understand "Duking" out....

But is it kosher to be fighting in crown not to win, influencing the
outcome of the tourney, and not giving your opponent your -best- fight?

I'm not criticizing ...just interested in the mindset about this...
