My agree, my good lord, and as a non-peer, I am willing to ask the 
question.  If the persons from whom many of us take examples, especially
those to whom the newer persons look for lessons on comportment, cannot
behave with the simplest of courtesy in court, then what are we to do?

Like you, I am not in the Circles, so don't know if they talk about it or
laugh at those of us who care as ignorant peasants beneath their notice.  I
know there are peers who are uncomfortable at being seen as examples,
because of the pressure it puts on them to behave politely.  But it's hard
on anybody to behave politely, that's why those courtesies mark the higher
levels of society from the lower.

Or so I have always been taught.

And this rounds back to my original question.  I believe this is not the
first time the question has come up on this list.  Since it appears to be a
strong and recurring issue in this Kingdom, what can be done to remedy the
problem?  How can we get our exemplars, the Peers, to set a good example?
