[Ansteorra] What has happened?

I am glad to hear this addressed because it is one of the many things we try
to teach our squires. I say "our" squires because Duncan and I feel that we
both have an obligation to teach them, as he has obligations to my
apprentices and proteges.

I know that the gentlemen of Clann Ross take this very seriously. I watched
them chase down many a Lady this weekend carrying burdens.

I say in all seriousness if one of ours just sits and watches you then come
and tell me or Sir Duncan about it please, so that we can address it.
Because we believe that the virtues of chivalry are what makes a knight or
master, not just swinging a stick.

There is a rare breed of Lady who wishes to set her camp and carry her own
baskets, I have told our gentlemen if they encounter such a noble Lady, to
wish her a beautiful day and not to flinch about stepping forward to the
next Lady they see in need.

It is the helping hands, the courtesy to others, the courage and the gentle
arts of the current middle ages that are our greatest treasure in the SCA.
