Yeah, that was kinda my point.  The question was (roughly) why is it
better to serve out of love, and my reply was because love is the
noblest reason to do anything.  

Here's my disclaimer, notice I never said say love is *my* reason for 
doing things in the SCA.  Only that love would win if there is a
contest between doing things out of love vs. doing things for any other
reason. 

Doing things for fun is a lot closer to my personal philosophy (the
boring details of which shall not appear here in these records). :)
