Ditto. I can see very well indeed now, but have many friends who can't.
It is entirely probable that at some point in time I will be in their
boat. 

Graphics-only websites, however beautiful and attractive to the sighted,
are actively unfriendly to the blind, and fail to comply with the
Americans with Disabilities Act, which the BoD has said the Society
*will* comply with.
