Wait! Green with Gold Medallions is a green and gold belt. Not a green belt,
not a gold belt, a two color belt.

That has never meant anything, even by tradition! That should never lead to
a problem.

If you can't wear these colors even in combination without a hassle then
something is wrong.

My device is in green and gold and was registered long before the tradition
of wearing a green or a gold belt became a tradition here. So now I can't
wear my own colors in combination on my own belt without seeming to claim
something that is not?

It sounds to me like we need to train our own people a bit on regalia, it's
uses, it's meanings and what our sumptuary laws are (and are not) and what
our traditions might mean. Before we start harassing other people we need to
educate ourselves.

end of rant.
