ARCH - Royal Huntsman at AoB

I dunno that AoB would be a bad place to hold the Huntsman shoot but I don't
know that it is a good place either.

This is definitely the right track. A branch, Elfsea, has approached the
Royals and in essence put in a bid to host the Royal Huntsman Tourney.
That's the way it should be. Thank you your excellency for stepping forward
and making the offer.

Now, here are my concerns over what has been posted.

Holding it at AoB means that once again the Tourney will be in the Central
Region. Meaning that 3 of the first 4 would have been in the Central
Region. It needs to move around more but that means people need to put in
bids to host it.

The shoot that Gilli describes of the best combined IKAC and IKCAC shot
throughout the day would bore the Royals to death. It is not something that
they could sit and watch and who would want to. There needs to be a more
organized and focused couple of hours that the range is devoted to the
selection of the Royal Huntsman.

For the selection of champions I have really grown to like the elimination
style brackets such as we shot at the last Huntsman shoot and was shot for
the Loch Champion. It turns it into more of what people think of as a
"tournament" and it builds some excitement as the crowd watching realizes
that with the very next arrow the two Archers currently shooting can either
advance or be eliminated. At the last tourney is was very cool and exciting
to watch Robert and Sebastian go at it and literally win and lose with each
shot by fractions on an inch.

Now here is perhaps an alternative.

I believe that it the next few days the Shire of Greywood will approach
their Highnesses, Master Richard, and Lord Fearghus with an offer to host
the Royal Huntsman shoot and Battle of the Pines the last weekend of
September. That gets it down to the Coastal Region, (Yippeee) and gives the
next Royal Huntsman a bit more time on the job.
