[Ansteorra-missile] [Am] Regarding authorizations at events...

I was not aware of this dispensation in regarding to the Missile Marshal 
activities. I have been operating based upon what has been published in 
the various on-line web site sites concerning SCA combat rules and the 
requirements to take the field at official events, in which everyone 
needed to be authorized first.

I am just being curious with this question - When did this dispensation 
granted?

There is a location with Central Region, Baronial of the Steppes that 
does allow the training of combat archers with heavy fighters year 
around. This is the Steppes local fighter practice that is held each 
Sunday from 2PM to 6 PM, except when there are events we all wish to 
attend. Such as Gulf Wars, Steppes Warlord, Gothic Wars, Three Kings, 
Autumn Melees, etc...

When I was an authorizing marshal (2002 - March 2005), I authorized a 
number of good gentles, including one knight as well. This was prior to 
the resetting of all authorizations in 2005. The site is available and 
the current Baron, His Grace - Sir Mahdi actively supports the practice 
and combat archery. In addition, the Baronial Knight Marshal and the 
Central Regional Knight Marshal are supportable as well.

Currently, I am authorized as:
Heavy Fighter so that I can continue to be a Full contact combat archer 
(always have been since 2000)
Combat Archer
Missile Marshal (not able to authorized individuals)

The fighter practice site - Mary Heads Carter (MHC) park in Carrollton, 
Tx. - has enjoyed the addition of combat archery since November 2001.
In addition to having the luxury of working with the local fighters who 
attend, there is also Joint War/Melee practices with the sister baronial 
of Elfsea on the 1st Sunday of each month, usually starting after Gothic 
Wars. Currently for this year (2006) no schedule has been established, 
so I am unable to furnished a calendar at this time. The establishing 
the dates remains with the Barons of Elfsea and Steppes, plus the 
respectful Baronial Knight Marshals of each barony.
