IKCAC is TARGET ARCHERY and you should use the guidelines for setting up 
a target archery range when  doing these activities.

In general targets should be set up to insure that no one can be 
accidentally hit by a stray arrow and allow at least 40 yards behind the 
targets and a 30 degree 'cone of safety' on each side of the shooting 
lane.   Dimensions can be lessened by using barriers, nets, etc.

The perimeter of the range MUST be marked. 

Marshals and participants should have a clear view of the downfield area 
behind any targets so that they can see at all times that nobody has 
wandered into the area beyond the targets.  If an arrow can easily go 
there when a person misses while aiming at one of your established 
target and you cant or don't have a clear view of that downrange  area 
then you don't have a safe range.
