What you describe is the desired results. The reality of it is something
significantly less. Many of the groups don't have places where they can
practice combat archery where the fighters are practicing. Heck, there are
many fighters that don't even do the process you are talking about since there
may not be melee groups for them to fight with. Depending on the *year* even
Bryn Gwlad, which is one of the largest Baronies, has not had melee practices
because of the local fighters not being interested.

The reality is that we want to get safe and authorized combat archers on the
field. In my dream world all of these archers would also be effective, but
that is just a pipe dream probably for years to come until our community can
help change it in each and every group of the Kingdom.
