For me, the field battles were the least fun (possibly because I died
within the first ten seconds in the first two, and didn't get to do all
that much in the third one.) The town battles were fun; people *did* get a
little hyper at times, but I'm not sure I'd call it "ugly". I had fun in
the ravine, too, probably because it was a resurrection battle, so getting
killed was only a minor nuisance.

A suggestion for getting more marshals and keeping people from getting too
"pumped": would it be feasible to require people to "fight two and marshal
(or just sit out) one" melee?
