[Ansteorra-textiles] Greetings and a quest

My Lady Rixende, I assure you that you came to the right place!  I can
name several very able weavers in my own Barony, so there will indeed be
enough segmentae woven to clothe your Lord and our King.  I myself am a
beginning inkle weaver, so anything I could produce would certainly Not
be suitable for His clothing.

Greetings unto the Textiles list from Honorable Lady Rixende de Rouen,
Tailor to His Royal Highness. I have joined this list as I have been set
upon a task by His Highness and I am in need of the assistance of the
many talented weavers in Ansteorra.

His Highness will be adopting a Roman persona as of Coronation, and
therefore I have a great need for Woven segmentae, clavi, etc. to adorn
his garments. I am in search of card, tapestry and loom weavers who
would be willing to undertake this task of weaving these pieces which
will then be attached to his garments (primarily Dalmaticas.) 

I am also looking for any documentation that people can point me toward
for Roman weaving (6th-7th century) and garments. 

If you are interested in assisting in this endeavor, please contact me
at rixende at mail2noble.com. I will also probably remain on this list
throughout Their reign, as I have much to learn about weaving, and a
very short time to do it in.
