Greetings,

Delurking here--I'm a fiber-nut in the Steppes area. I'm most strongly into
spinning, but also into pretty much anything to do with related fiberarts
(weaving, dyeing, things with string).

Current projects, I'm doing a lot of fleece washing as well (spring clips).
Right now I've got a big multicolored icelandic ram fleece doing an
overnight coldwater soak in my washing machine. Haven't decided exactly
what I'm going to do with it yet. Probably comb to separate the thel/tog
and spin separately. Behind that are several shetland fleeces to be
processed.

Just bought a used 8h 15" table loom on Friday that I can use for smaller
projects, samples and workshops that my big loom isn't as practical for.
Have spent the weekend tweaking things with it, and now have it ready to put
a warp on it tomorrow. I'm excited to get my hands on it because there's a
fine-weaving workshop in the fall that I really wanted to take.

Speaking of naalbinding, anyone know of anyone pretty good with that in the
Elfsea/Steppes area? I'd really like to learn that. I'm pretty good with a
book, but I'm finding that this one might be easier in person and would like
to track someone down to show me the basics.

couple of fleeces last week. But I'm in spinning trauma right now because I
misplaced my carders somewhere. At least that gives me some inspiration to
give the house a really good going over. They've got to be around here
somewhere....
