CR - Meat pies

Manfred learned to make a very tasty meat pie in a class taught by Cateau.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to find creamed chicken (the main ingredient)
at Kroger anymore. But it's a quick and yummy recipe (not period, but
passable in appearance), and other markets probably have the chicken.

Galen, how can you even think about pies when your house is probably
overflowing with Girl Scout Cookies?
Okay, I'm going to try to be serious for a moment. You sound like an
authority on pies, (or at least someone who seldom meets one he doesn't
like...), I'm looking for good meat pie cooks and recipes. We're
starting a new guild in Stargate called the Home Maker's Guild. We will
meet once a month to learn about medieval and/or modern topics that will
help us with our SCA lives. Our first meeting is the 2nd Wednesday in
April at my house, where we will make soap.
I want to have a class one month on how to make meat pies, but I've
never done that. Meliora made some great meat pies for last year's
Tourney by the Loch, but when I asked her to teach she about hurt
herself laughing. I intend to ask Godwin, who makes a killer meat pie,
but I would love to have more cooks/recipes. Got any ideas?
Love,
Neassa
PS: Others should feel free to make suggestions as well, either on the
list or to me personally at <neassa at swbell.net>.
