Greetings Fellow Ansteorrians:

One final reminder - the Canton of Glaslyn is hosting and A&S mini-tournament this Saturday, August 19. The theme for the mini-tournament is "Anything Celtic". We will have prizes in the following categories: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Artisans and non-artisans alike are invited to attend.

Special Challenge!! - Lady Ceinwen ferch Rhuel has issued a challenge to all artisans. The challlenge is this - the artisans paint something, be it a scroll, banner or any item with a Celtic design on it and display it at the tournament. The item can be any medium you choose; i.e., fabric, leather, paper, metal or wood. The winner will be awarded two banners that Lady Ceinwen has painted. They are about 5 foot tall and about a foot wide each and have painted Celtic dogs on them. The banners were displayed at the Lughnasad event in Canton (August 11-13).

In addition to having an A&S competition, we will be holding classes throughout the day. The semi-final agenda for the event is as follows (note: some classes have fees and/or a supplies list):
