[Gatesedge] new to the area

  Greetings Shandi-----
   I don't believe you could of picked a worse week end to send out a 
question. What with everyone away at the argent event in Canton. I will try 
to give you some information on archery.
   I am the so called archery marshal of Gates Edge, for what that's worth. 
You live at the junction of several groups that have archery. there's the 
lock in clear Lake,Ravens fort in Huntsville, and of course there is us. We 
seem to be the most active of them all . We hold at least a practice once 
every month in Pinehurst. We have been meeting at the home of Lord Eadric, 
Since my own home range is in a state of disrepair. We normaly shoot just 
target archery at 20, 30, and 40 yards.we do have some combat archers in the 
group, But we try not to let it effect us.Lord Eadric lives in Pinehurst, as 
do several other archers. We usually have about 10 to 12 shooters at each 
practice. Course theres the fact we will have a pot luck supper afterward. 
That is always good for some eating,lying,laughing & conversation.
   There are no olympic shooters among us so don't feel like you are going 
to be Out of place in your scores. There are some of us that never did learn 
to do it right.Basically we just shoot to be together and have a good 
time.{heckeling is not only allowed, but also encouraged}.
  our next practice is on July,24th at lord Eadrics. We will start at about 
4 pm so as to beat the hot part of the day,We will shoot till we either get 
tired or its too dark to see the arrows. You are welcome to  Come join us 
and bring along anyone you think would enjoy it.
  The horsey people will return after the big brouhaha ha in Canton.
