I really ought to avoid posting late at night.  This is not the right
heralds' list to find Rouland or Jaelle -- they're on SCA Heralds',
not Ansteorran.

Further, whether vairy can be a Substantial Change is irrelevant to
this case.  From a recent discussion on SCA Heralds', Substantial
Change of Partition applies only to changing the single line of
partition (or changing all of them, I suppose), so you couldn't get it
for "barry plain and plain" versus "barry vairy and plain".
