The way I understood all this mess is Rank, Title and Estate. Rank - Grant of Arms Title - Court Baron Estate - Nobility The other Grants are not of the Estate of Nobility. 1st. Estate - clergy; 2nd. Estate - nobles; 3rd. Estate - 1. Soldiers, merchants and artists 2. City workers 3. Peasants
