[ANSTHRLD] Acceptable sources and invented names

I have a consult asking about two different things.  The first is that she
really insists on using the Oxford Historical Society publications as her
source even though I have provided a solid source.  She is extremely adamant
about using this source so I am wondering if they are an acceptable source?

Second thing is that she wishes to use the name Mabry.  I've found
documentation for Mably:

Mably is documented from Feminine Given Names in "A Dictionary of English
Surnames" by Talan Gwynek (Brian M. Scott) at
http://www.s-gabriel.org/names/talan/reaney/reaney.cgi?Mabel  It is listed
as sn. Mabel with two instances of Mably in 1279 and 1450.

but the submitter wishes to use the invented names clause to submit Mabry.
She is also extremely adamant about using this spelling and will accept no
alternatives.  Is this an acceptable use of invented names, OR is there
another place I can look for Mabry as a name?
